Dr. Robert K. Roush, Jr., MD has been a medical oncologist and hematologist at Delaware County Memorial Hospital since 1991. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Roush was born in Camden, NJ and was raised in Pennsauken, NJ. He graduated with high honors from Rutgers-Camden receiving a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. As a hematology fellow, he did research at the internationally known Cardeza Foundation.
As a member of both the American Society of Medical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, Dr. Roush attends educational meetings on a regular basis to keep informed of the latest developments in the fields of hematology and oncology. He brings the information from these meetings to other physicians in the practice to help in the care of their patients.
Outside the office, Dr. Roush spends as much time as possible with his wife and children at their home in South Jersey. He is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and closely follows the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers and Sixers. His hobbies include salt water fishing. For rest and relaxation he can often be found on his off days fishing in the Delaware Bay.
